Luchi Ajoku, founder of HIKEHER Dallas, established this inspiring community with a deep passion for empowering women through faith, wellness, and solidarity. Her journey began with personal hardship when her mother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2021—a life-altering experience that turned Luchi’s world upside down. As she supported her mother’s courageous battle, Luchi received her own devastating diagnosis: breast cancer. In 2022, Luchi’s mother passed away, and the same year, she began her own fight against cancer. Then, in 2023, her cancer returned, bringing new waves of pain, fear, and isolation​.

Through these challenges, Luchi found solace in faith and nature. She experienced moments of strength and peace during her time outdoors, which sparked the idea for HIKEHER Dallas—a faith-based hiking group dedicated to supporting women, especially those touched by breast cancer. Luchi’s experiences, both painful and transformative, are at the heart of HIKEHER Dallas. Each hike, every event, and all the wellness initiatives stem from her commitment to helping others navigate their own journeys with dignity, community, and faith.
